Crame, J. A.; Arntz, W. E.; Thomson, M. R. A. (2000): A Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous belemnite dredged from the floor of the eastern Weddell Sea. Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, United Kingdom, Antarctic Science, 12 (1), 117-118, georefid:2001-072626

Abstract:
During the course of systematic biological investigation in the eastern Weddell Sea in 1998, a well preserved belemnite fragment was recovered from a bottom trawl. Subsequent examination indicated that this most likely has Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous affinities. As such it comprises further evidence that Late-Jurassic-Early Cretaceous sedimentary rocks may be present along the eastern margins of the Weddell Sea.
