Abstract:

The JOIDES Resolution returned to the Southern Ocean to drill in the Southeast Atlantic (ODP Leg 177) and beside the Antarctic Peninsula (ODP Leg 178). The objectives of Leg 177 are to collect cores to study the paleo-oceanography on the Southeast Atlantic. Preliminary data are presented here. (mte)
