The early Aptian Caprinidae from the platform carbonates of the Resolution Guyot, in the Mid Pacific Mountains, hitherto considered close to the genus Caprina (Caprininae) are assigned to the genera Huetamia and Conchemipora skeltoni nov. gen. nov. sp. both belonging to the Coalcomaninae. Conchemipora has a primitive evolutionary status. This fauna with american affinities is original and suggests the existence of a regional specific early Aptian palaeobiogeographic entity in the Western Pacific.
