Abstract:
This paper summarizes the effect of greenhouse gases on climate by reporting on modelling work that shows the formation of the Antarctic ice sheet in the Oligocene, 34 million years ago, occurred largely because of a fall in atmospheric CO (sub 2) concentration. (MTE)
