A synthesis of studies undertaken in Southeast Asia along six transversals in the SEATAR program. Its object: make an inventory of mineral resources and hydrocarbons along these transversals and show their relationship with tectonics and plate limits. Four new transversals are proposed along with reviews of information already acquired and areas that remain to be studied in depth. General recommendations and a summary of regional projects (metallogeny, ophiolites, marginal basins, seismicity, DSDP, paleomagnetism, geothermal flux) conclude this book.
