Abstract:
The ANDRILL (ANtarctica DRILLing) initiative aims to continue stratigraphic research of the Cenozoic of the McMurdo Sound region begun by the Cape Roberts Project. This paper introduces the MacKay Sea Valley (MSV) sites to be drilled. This core aims to extend the data base of the Holocene environmental changes. A comparison is made to ODP Site 1098, Palmer Deep off of the Antarctic Peninsula. (MTE)
