Tufts submarine fan; turbidity current gateway to Escanaba Trough. U. S. Geological Survey, Reston, VA, United States, U. S. Geological Survey Bulletin, B 2216, 23 pp., georefid:2004-049334
Abstract:
Tufts submarine fan, offshore Oregon and California, extends more than 350 km south from Cascadia Channel and contains as much as 500 m of turbidite deposits. Growth of the fan now permits turbidity-current overflow from Cascadia Channel to reach Escanaba Trough on the southern axis of the Gorda Ridge.
