Abstract:
ODP Site 1098, drilled in the Palmer Deep in Southern Ocean along the Antarctic Peninsula, provides evidence of decadal-to-millennial paleo-oceanographic changes during the upper Pleistocene and Holocene. This study analyzes biogenic opal, organic C and N concentrations, and delta (super 13) C and delta (super 15) N isotopic ratios of sedimentary organic matter. A chronology is presented. (MTE)
