Abstract:
This CD-ROM publication is a set of 39 discs containing SEG-Y format demultiplexed seismic data collected from Cape Hatteras to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Each disc contains: (1) 3 to 5 files of SEG-Y format demultiplexed data; (2) digital copies of observers logs for those data, with each sheet of those logs represented in PCX, TIFF, and GIF graphic formats; (3) an ASCII text file of shotpoint-location information in decimal degrees as well as a digital figure of the shotpoint-location map in PCX graphic format; (4) PLOTSEIS, a DOS-based program for the display of the SEG-Y format seismic data; (5) OBPLOT, a DOS-based program for the display of the PCX format observers' logs and shotpoint-location map; (6) DUMPSEGY, a DOS- and UNIX-based program for the review and editing of the SEG-Y format seismic data; and (7) all necessary documentation and source code.

Supplemental Information:
This CD-ROM was produced in accordance with the ISO 9660 standard, and the data are accessible from any computer platform having a CD-ROM device complying with that standard. The SEG-Y data, observers' logs, and shotpoint-location map display software are intended for use only on DOS-based computer systems. The SEG-Y data review and editing program is intended for use on DOS-based and Data General UNIX systems. The source code may be compiled for use on any system supporting an ANSI-compliant C compiler. The minimum DOS system requirements to use the display software as follows: (1) IBM or compatible personal computer, having an 80286 or higher numbered processor; (2) 512K RAM; (3) MS-DOS or PC-DOS version 3.1 or later; (4) Microsoft MSCDEX version 2.1 or later; (5) CD-ROM drive with ISO 9660 software driver; and (6) EGA, VGA, or Hercules graphics system.
